Patrick McManamon, OD

Patrick McManamon, OD (“Dr. P”) has developed an interest and expertise in treating ocular surface disease (commonly called Dry Eye) throughout his training and practice. Ocular surface disease treatments must be tailored to every patient individually. At James Lewis MD Ophthalmology, we have every treatment modality and diagnostic capability available.

Dr. McManamon hails from Huntingdon, PA and completed his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Saint Francis University with minors in Physics and Biology. He completed his Doctor of Optometry at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and fulfilled his residency training in Cornea and Contact Lenses at James Lewis MD Ophthalmology and The Eye Institute. Dr. McManamon has lectured to colleagues, residents, and students on the benefits and fitting dynamics of scleral contact lenses. He is an adjuct faculty member at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry where he has lectured on scleral contact lenses, pediatric contact lenses, multifocal contact lenses, anterior segment disease, ocular surface disease, and hybrid contact lenses.

Dr. McManamon likes to engage with patients to determine the best treatments and plans to improve symptoms of dry eye. One of the best options in his arsenal is a scleral contact lens which provides a fluid reservoir for the eye throughout the wear time. It is a comfortable, relieving experience. Dr. McManamon works with the best contact lens manufacturing companies in the country to provide the most up-to-date lens designs and technology available to his patients.

Contact lens appointments with Dr. McManamon are available Mondays and Fridays by calling 215-886-9090.
